Denis Chernogod was born in former USSR in the city Chimkent. In high school he took a great interest in music, and finished music academy for guitar. Denis created his own band, where he was the lead vocal & guitar, composed music & lyrics. He found inspiration in russian rock bands such as Nautilius Pompilius,Zdob shi zdub.
However, his musical preferences were not simply limited to domestic bands but also included an american bands Nirvana,Red Hot Chilli Peppers,Rage Against The Machine ,Lacrimosa,Sigur Ros,Faith No More,SOUND GURDEN and act.
In 2002 Denis came to New York. His musical taste grew to be more and more diverse, as electronic music became a new playground, with influences like "Autachre", "Amon Tobin" ,''Radiohead'',''Venetian Snares'',Bjork'' and act.
A series of experiments with electronic sound effects in 2005, became starting grounds for a debut solo album Electromehanica-Pulse, in russian language. It spread fast, and quickly became popular among the russian-speaking population of U.S. This album was streaming on radio station generationnextradio.com.
After release of his next IDM album Zero Gravity - Recycled in 2006, Denis became known as Zero-G. This album is featured on a graphic designer site ma-kru.com.
While producing his own sound, Zero-G also worked with multiple bands including
"The Oskar & Phycholovers" (bass guitar), "Avian X" (lead guitar). He went on TV channel Fox 5 with a band, released a music video "Lucky Number", preformed in legendary New York & Boston clubs such as CBGB, Annex,Knitting Factory,Crash Mansion, etc.
Also, while making his own music, Zero G produced and mixed a wide variety of New York musicians, created soundtracks for independent films and collaborated with different artists worldwide. His remix of a famous electronic band Ronninbeat from St Petersburg, comes out on a vinyl - called "Up Here".
In 2008, Denis starts a new project IDentification with Irina Valieva.
Irina Valieva, born in Ozersk (Russia) lives in New York since 2004. She has built her music career as a talented singer and songwriter.
Recently, IDentification has released a music video "Different Worlds" that is already known well on many web portals such as youtube.com, facebook.com , myspace.com vkontakte.ru, and more.
